Funded & Filed is a free tax estimator for traders. We built it so your financial information never has to leave your device. This page explains exactly what that means.
What we never receive
- Your numbers. Payouts, fees, income, filing status and everything else you enter is worked out in your own browser and saved there only. We don't have a copy.
- Your statements. Bank and card files you import are read inside your browser and are never uploaded to us or anyone else.
Because this information is saved in your browser, anyone who uses the same browser on the same device can see it. On a shared computer, use My account → Delete my data when you're done.
What we do collect
- Your email, if you ask for early access. When you sign up, your email address is stored by our hosting provider, Netlify, and used only to send you Funded & Filed updates. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
- Basic visit statistics. We use GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to count visits and which tabs are used. It records things like the page viewed, the site that sent you, your browser type, screen size and approximate country. It uses no cookies and doesn't build a profile of you.
- Server logs. Like any website, our host (Netlify) processes your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your information.
- We don't show ads or use advertising trackers.
- We don't use cookies.
Security
The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and tells browsers to block outside scripts and embedding by other websites. Since we don't store your financial information, there is none of it on our side to be stolen.
Children
Funded & Filed is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we add features that collect more information, such as connected accounts in a future paid plan, we'll update this page before they launch and explain what changes.
